This article analyzes the impact of digital technologies on the challenges facing university students in the 21st century, from an argumentative perspective and based on recent academic production. To this end, a bibliometric analysis of studies published between 2019 and 2022 was conducted in databases such as Scopus, Web of Science, and SciELO, identifying trends, key authors, and gaps in the literature. The results show an exponential growth in research on digital competencies, hybrid education, and student well-being, albeit with little focus on structural inequalities. It concludes that, despite accelerated technological advancement, pedagogical and ethical challenges persist that require more critical theoretical frameworks and institutional policies focused on equity.
