Periodismo deportivo: retrospectiva y prospectiva de la profesión

Over the years, sports journalism has been a recreational activity for society at large. Despite this, it has been impacted by Information and Communication Technologies (ict). For this reason, this article aims to review the studies carried out on sports journalism in its different dimensions: sports, business, technology, information, audiences, competencies and professional trends. o this end, a qualitative methodology is developed through the documentary method and analysis of national and international publications of recent years. The results show that the retrospective of sports journalism is repeated in business, news and journalistic routines. It is concluded that the prospective of the profession is based on the domain of technology, the sociohumanistic and information strategies to face the new communicative ecosystem.
