El impacto de Tecnologías de la Información y la Comunicación (TIC) en la educación no formal es un tema de creciente interés académico en los últimos años. Un análisis bibliométrico de la producción científica entre 2020 y 2023 revela un incremento significativo de publicaciones indexadas en Scopus y Web of Science, con un enfoque predominante en plataformas digitales, aprendizaje móvil y competencias digitales. Los estudios destacan que las TIC  democratizaron el acceso al conocimiento, facilitando modalidades flexibles y personalizadas, aunque persisten desafíos como la brecha digital y la necesidad de formación docente. Las metodologías más recurrentes son cualitativas con estudios de caso y revisiones sistemáticas. Geográficamente, América Latina y Europa lideran la investigación, con énfasis en contextos comunitarios y laborales; se concluye que, pese al avance teórico, se requieren más investigaciones empíricas que evalúen el impacto a largo plazo.
